Proyecto Titi (Project Tamarin) Cotton-top Tamarin

Design a Cotton-top Tamarin Habitat

Rounded Rectangular Callout: My family and I spend most of our time moving through our tropical forest home, looking for food to eat.  I eat fruits that grow on trees in the forest.  And I really love to eat insects that are on the leaves or that hide under the tree bark.  The morning time is the best time to drink the dew off the leaves.  Vines also grow everywhere, and are a great “super highway” allowing us to get from one tree to another.

Don’t forget about those yummy flowering trees…many of them have nectar that is perfect for me to eat!  My twin sister really likes sweets, and she spends most of her time looking for trees that are dripping sap.  We like to follow birds and insects that make the holes in the trees and then we drink the sap after all their hard work!

What to do:

  1. Read Tito's description of his home above.  Then draw a picture of what his habitat would look like.  You can use the pictures below as a guide.
