Things You Will Need:
·
One black or brown tube sock (if you only have white, you
can color it with markers)
·
Two wiggle eyes
·
About five jumbo cotton balls
·
A small, long piece of black or brown felt (string may
also work)
·
Tacky glue
·
One pair of scissors
What to
do:
-
Make a fist with one
of your hands and pull the tube sock over it so that the heel of
the sock is resting on top of your fist. This will help
you figure out where the parts of your tamarin's face should be.
The nose will be in the middle of the toe area and the eyes
towards the heel area on the sole of the sock (see pictures).
-
Decide where you want
the mouth and eyes of your cotton-top tamarin to be, and with
the tacky glue, fasten the wiggle eyes on. This will be
around the heel area on the sole of the sock.
-
Pull apart two cotton
balls so they are big and fluffy. Glue these on the head
of your tamarin, above the eyes.
-
Cut a small tongue
from the red felt, and glue it in your puppet's mouth.
This will be underneath the toe area.
-
Pull apart three
cotton balls so they are big and fluffy. Glue these to
your puppet's belly.
-
Cut a long tail from
the black or brown felt. Use the glue to attach this to
the backside of your cotton-top tamarin puppet.
