Acknowledgements

Over the years we have been fortunate to work with so many individuals committed to the conservation of cotton-top tamarins and their habitat in Colombia. We appreciate the assistance of Dr. Charles Snowdon, Dr. Olga Cecelia Ramierez, Dr. Vicente Rodriguez, Dr. Jorge Hernandez, Dr. Tom Yuill, Dr. Rafael Montalvo, Dr. Ceclia Bermudez Sagre, Dr. Guerillmo Ariza, Dr. Bernardo Ortiz, Dr. Jose Antonia Lopera, and Dr. Carlos Painchault. Our field staff of Proyecto Tití in Colosó and Santa Catalina have contributed immensely to the success of our program and we are deeply indebted to them for their hard work and dedication. Dr. Fernando Nassar, Dr. Evan Blumer, Dr. Gustavo Quintero and Dr. John Rush provided veterinary assistance throughout various aspects of our program. We thank the many students who have studied at our field site and that have gained valuable knowledge to assist them in their chosen career paths.

Our education programs have benefited immensely from the local involvement of community leaders, teachers and students. Our information exchange program between schools in Rhode Island and Collegio Victor Zubiria in Colosó provided an opportunity for students and teachers in the Colombia and the U.S. to learn more about environmental issues, cultures, and challenges facing conservation programs. Our current education programs benefit greatly from the strong community support of Santa Catalina, Colorados, Los Limites and COFESAES. We are pleased to work with such a dedicated group of individuals and look forward to continuing our collaborative programs. We are also fortunate to collaborate with the Barranquilla Zoo in providing opportunities for visitors to learn more about the issues facing cotton-top tamarins and the challenges facing their long-term survival.

We have been fortunate to receive support our conservation program in Colombia.
